HSC-538: Research Methods I

This course is designed to provide students with necessary tools and skills of understanding research designs and methods. This part of the course will deal with general introduction and basic definitions of important terms and characteristics of research in general and health research in particular.
Topics to be covered include:
Overview of research types and design; Literature review; Identifying research questions, key objectives and hypothesis; Research methods; Questionnaire development; Preparing data analysis plan; Quality assurances of research.

Course content:

Learning outcomes:

At the end of the course the students will be able to understand the primary process and requirements to begin or to initiate a research/ research proposal/ research project.
